Florence & the Machine – new video

Florence and the Machine have released a new video for the song “Lover to Lover” from their most recent album.

Lover to Lover is one of the more sad tracks from Ceremonials, with lyrics like; “there’s no salvation for me now” and “And I’ve been taking chances, I’ve been setting myself up for the fall”, are telling of a failed love story. Florence Welch performs this track with an element of sadness that is resonant of those lyrics. The scenery is beautiful, and completely compliments the track. The fire and ocean imply that love is a baptism of both; with religious connotations. A surprisingly slow video for what could be called an upbeat song, but it works.
